PRODUCT DETAILS

ASTM A516 boiler vessel plate is suitable for welded pressure vessels with high notch toughness requirements. ASTM A516 boiler vessel plate is also a carbon steel plate with four strength grades: Grade 55, Grade 60, Grade 65, and Grade 70. ASTM A516 boiler vessel plate shall be sedimented steel and shall meet the fine austenitic grain size requirements of ASTM A20/A20M.



 



ASTM A516 boiler vessel plate is sedated steel, and should meet the requirements of ASTM A20/A20M standard fine austenite grain size. The thickness of ASTM A516 boiler vessel plate is limited only by the ability of the chemical composition to meet the requirements of the specified mechanical properties. However, the thickness of Grade 55 plate is normally limited to 305 mm. The thickness of Grade 60, 65 and 70 plates is limited to 205 mm.
